what is the cheapest CPU that can max out EVERY game?

well then, if there's no theoretical GPU limit, then there's not going to be a CPU on the market that will keep up to an infinite amount of GPU horsepower.

You're too fixed on the idea of "what CPU is the minimum needed to keep up with whatever X GPU is capable of" rather than "what CPU will max out games".

Again, we're just talking about what CPU is required to maintain 60fps in most games, which is at least a quad-core of some kind. We're not talking about keeping up with a certain GPU.

CPU to max every game keeping 60+fps huh...

i7-5820K @ 4.5GHz

=D

Go play crysis 3 on an i5 and max the graphics and tell me you don't drop below 60fps ever

I have finally moved to a desktop. Also my guides are outdated as hell.

well, if it's to keep above 60fps, the G3258 will do that in 85-90% of games.

i would say an ebay special 2600K@5GHzWatermelons. other than that a 771 xeon under phase is only £20 for the cpu and would do a pretty good job if it was at 4.4ghz+. its probably as fast as a locked i5 tbh
