It doesn't really have a place anymore with funnier edgier shows like south park and family guy that are allowed to basically do what they want the fact the Simpsons is so PG13 makes it plain and washed out

Yeah. Since I grew up watching them. I still enjoy the new seasons, but they don't have that sass the older ones certainly had. But then again I do like some of the subtle references they put in the show still to this day.

I can't find a video but Bart was in a south park episode and the dialogue went something like this.

Cartman: can I cut in front of you I'm trying to get family guy of the air.

Bart: that's what I'm doing and no.

Cartman I'll have the a better chance of getting that episode pulled (talks about his plans)

^^ this is why the Simpsons doesn't have a place anymore. There was a time when you didn't have to use vulgar language and shock factor to make a splash but that times long gone!
