I`ve played it a lot this week, but on LVG's Insane. It is one of my favourite maps because it`s very fun to play.

I just downloaded it yesterday and that stream in the middle of the map always gets me

So the last time I tried Osu I wanted to punch a wall. Is there a good way to play it with a mouse and also a way to download some packs of beatmaps which are more noob friendly?

Do you play mouse only or M+KB? if you play mouse only, try switching to M+KB. Also most people play with 500-2000 dpi. Best way to download noob-friendly beatmaps is IMO to just look at the beatmap listing and download all beatmaps that have an easy difficulty.

Yup, I'm enjoing it so far, but now I feel the need to buy a new mouse because my current one jitters like shit on high DPI.

Yes, although it doesn`t really make a difference if you have 6/11 mouse setting and acceleration off in the windows options.

You can set background dim to 100%. This can be done either in the main menu if you want it for all maps or you can do it at the start of a map by putting your mouse at the bottom of the screen, if you only want it for that specific map.
