Ego is the Mechanism built into us to have a Personal Identity..”I”. It gives us all our desires, Passions. It is a fantastic learner, has great survival skills. Our Ego helps us to become all that we want to become. It is our Protector.

But it becomes an obstacle when we think of a harmonious Communal Living. Invariably our Interests are going to clash with somebody else’s. So our actions based on our Ego Process are bound to harm somebody…or perhaps a huge Group.

Obviously Ego must be “controlled” like a Horse.

How do you control yours?

i remind myself that i suck.

We can't Benchmark like we used to, but we have our ways. One trick is to shove more GPUs in your computer. Like the time I needed to NV-Link, because I needed a higher HeavenBench score, so I did an SLI, which is what they called NV-Link back in the day. So, I decided to put two GPUs in my computer, which was the style at the time. Now, to add another GPU to your computer, costs a new PSU. Now in those days PSUs said OCZ on them, "Gimme 750W OCZs for an SLI" you'd say. Now where were we? Oh yeah, the important thing was that I had two GPUs in my rig, which was the style at the time! They didn't have RGB PSUs at the time, because of the war. The only thing you could get was those big green ones.

Pretty much this, as a summed up version.

Edit: Really it boils down to this: I need to be positive enough to not beat my self up, but I also have to realize that I am not perfect. People that are caught up in their ego's are just "full of themself" and in return they spread negativity and make people feel less of themselves, which I just cant be that kind of person, I would feel terrible.

I surround myself with people who are better than me. When I start thinking I've got something handled, I check in with someone better than me at that thing so they can laugh at my puny attempts.

For example, right now I'm working on some networking stuff, and just reading chapter 2 of the book I got is a huge ego check. I know nothing, Jon Snow

Just try and not do too many things to gain props with friends or just for the sake of making yourself looking better than other people. keep a lower profile and try not to stick out as much just for shits and giggles. Of course, coming from me that's really easy for me to say because I'm an introvert. I don't know how you interact with other people. What I do know is that if you are a naturally an extroverted sort of person such a direct approach is nigh impossible.

So what I would say is just be nice to people. It doesn't matter who they are, just be willing to help people, and have a mind set in which you be nice to people with no thought for reward at all. It makes others happy, it's one of the best feelings in the world, and you get mad, mad props for it. Being nice is just so much better imho than being brazen.
