What Graphics can my computer run?

I have a asrock 970 extreme3 r2.0 with an fx 6300 (Not oc yet) and 8 gigs of ram but only a cx 430m psu. I have about 150 - 200 dollars to spend and will buy used if necessary so do not worry about telling me whats in my budget too much. i just need a card i can get and throw in my computer that will be able to play FO4 when it rolls around in November.

I don't know what i can put in my computer that my psu can handle that is preferably under 200 (atleast used) that will run fo4.

gtx 960 maybe you could get a 970 but that probably going to be held back by your cpu

Not probably. It will. For sure.

 

Any FX processor will bottleneck a 970 or higher. Hell the lower end ones will probably bottleneck a 960 too.

Actually, I've seen videos that show your cpu doesn't effect graphics card performance (unless it's a poorly optimized game, or designed to use cpu more due to not being as optimized)

You still shouldn't get a cheap ass weak cpu, but normally it shouldn't act as a bottleneck unless it's a very low end.

That video was made a couple years ago, but I'm sure it mostly holds up now of days

that video is about cpu cores, but I've some others (don't remember which videos) but they also said the cpu doesn't act much as a bottleneck for many games

A 960 or 280x would be great

You can get a 970 or 290/x for under $150 on eBay but watch out for scams, if you do go for one of these overclock your cpu and get a higher watt psu

R7 370s go for $150 on Newegg, might wanna spend the other $50 in a bigger PSU if you want to overclock. 430w is kinda pushing it if you dont go with a 960, but the 960s run over $200 new off Newegg. R7 370 would be in your budget.
