I am currently looking into getting a new GPU for my system, and I would like something near the upper end. I was considering a 980, but someone offered me a 780 ti for significantly less.

I currently game at 1080p, so which of these GPUs has better performance?

the only 780ti that compares to a 980 is the kingpin, and omg a kingpin 980 went for £275 on ebay the other day, thats an insane bargain.

Performance wise the 780ti and GTX980 are actualy pretty close...i don't know what kind of deal you have for the 780ti, but if it's 15% cheaper or more...i'd go with that it's a very strong GPU.

GTX 780ti vs GTX 980:

As you can see from these results the 780ti is within 10% of the GTX 980...so not much difference there.

GPUs get replaced so often...i rather go with a newer gen card, the 700 series is already getting left behind by nvidia driver wise...

The 780 ti would be between $300 and $350, I'm not 100% sure yet.
