1440p gaming gpu

hi i wonder which graphics card is good today for 1440p gaming... also would be nice to safe a few bucks.

would also be cool if it play AAA titles on good settings

but please nothing above 500$+ best would be something around 300$

cause i wanna put it in xeon 1231v3 with asrock fatality b85 and be able to stream

The minimum I would recommend for 1440p is a 980, with a 980ti or 970 SLI being optimal solutions. You might be able to squeak by with a single 970 but I wouldn't count on getting "good settings" in most AAA games.

 

If your GPU budget is $300 I would stick to 1080p. A 970 will be more than adequate there.

Well you have two options, r9 390 or 970. 390 is going to be bit faster but less efficient. Honestly just get the most expensive card you can afford and you will be fine. 1440p is demanding.

R9 390x, neck and neck with the 980, has 8 GBS of vram, and $420

GTX 970 and maybe an R9 390, but as @Virtual01 said, you won't be able to max everything out.

i feel like 390/970 can get you good quality (60fps), but the 390x and especially the 980 will max out most games;
kyle from awesomesauce made a video about the 970 on gta5, 4k, he got close to 60fps at medium and some filters, it looked decent...

980Ti. Enough to handle the Resolution and max everything.
