I would save some money and get the 2GB, but then again I don't really know, 2GB seems like enough to me but I could be wrong.

Get the 2GB, even for 1440p the 4GB version doesn't show much of a difference from the 2Gb one. :)

You'll probably need 3gb+ for 4k

I'd get the 2gb unless your going to be doing multi monitor or high res in the future.

It depends on your resolution, I would say get the 2gb for 1080p and under. Get the 4gb for 1440p or 1600p (or if you plan on going triple monitor or something), the extra vram will help you a lot.

how much is the 4gb version? If it even makes use of 75%, you'll get 3gb. so it may be worth it on the off chance new games take a bit more vram.

People getting a 770 won't have a 4k monitor lol

Not much difference at 1440p only in triple monitor does that 4GB show.

The really GPU intensive games use more than 2gb at that resolution, sure you would be fine for most games, but if you're planning on playing Crysis 3, Metro LL or any other similar games in the future, you can definitely benifit from the extra vram.

2GB is fine , if you think you are going to get another monitor and do some tripple screen surround gaming than grab the 4GB card

Unless you're gaming ACROSS multiple displays and not just on one with extra on the side, the 770 2GB will be plenty.

Crysis 3 uses 2.2GB of VRAM  at 1080p with max settings, future games will use more. So he should get 4GB and then go SLI when he needs more power otherwise VRAM will be an issue for him

I had to quote someone because not many people are following the topic, I randomly picked someone, and that someone was you  :D

I don't see a reason ever to go for less if you can afford more. go for the 4gb version for the longevity. one less bottleneck for future games

I have 2 2gb 680s and a 1080p monitor

So if I go and buy that game now I won't be able to play it at max settings?

I think i'll be fine. Not that you'd want AA so high anyway.

Not buying it though because Crysis 2 was a terrible game.

Exactly what I'm saying, spend the extra cash and future proof, then SLI when performance becomes an issue at 4gb textures, at least vram won't be an issue

It will be more than fine. You should be able to run Arma 3 at 50-80 fps depending on your settings.

What about 2 or 4 gb for 1440p, is there really almost no difference?
