I like quality stuff, and it's not complicated at all.

The mic simply screws onto the arm and the arm is mounted to a shelf above my desk.

I actually need one. They help to keep it out of the way and off the desk.

The headphones are great. But the mic quality is just not as good as I would have liked.

You know that guy that games on a MacBook? I'm that guy.

Because they get uncomfortable after using them awhile, which I usually use my K7XX's with the lapel mic clipped onto the cord.

Using two RODE NT1-A's in a L/R configuration going through a Behringer X1204USB Mixer, then for recording my guitar I use 2x Behringer C-2 Condensor Mic's going into the same mixer.

My Astro a40 headset. Had it for about a year now, and I don't regret paying the premium.

Turtle Beach headsets are not worth buying... p2p, low end gaming headsets, especially from that brand, will not be viable. You'd be better off getting a business class mic and earbuds...

Ehh, had them for a long time, still haven't had any problems and sound quality is pretty decent. What else could you want?

I don't know what your definition of pretty decent is, but you must not have had much if any experience with other headsets
