About a year ago since I was bored of not being able to play games with anyone because I had a mac, and thus discovered how fun building computers is :D

From when I was young, we had a few computers, I would play with them, by the time I had my own, I was really good at it, got a much newer one (at the time) and started to play some games. It was not until a few years ago when I wanted to build my own for gaming, found LinusTechTips, and have been interested since then, and have built my own rig finally!

I was into computer gaming since I could understand gaming. However the pc's I had was never good enough to handle any games back then. Any game back then getting 30+ fps on lowest was a miracle. Around 2 years ago my dad agreed to get me a new computer. I wanted the best performance I could get with the 800$ he was willing to spend so that's how I got into computers.

Got my current laptop, and realised it couldn't run games (well). Started looking into what PC's consist of and when I was looking into building PC's, I found Linus' complete build guide video on NCIX' YouTube channel. Escalated from there, building my first PC in 2 days.

I always like to learn how thinks work so you'd see me taking apart my toys, RC cars, clocks, radios and what ever I could get my hands on. So when my parents got me my first PC (some 11 years ago) it was only expected that I wanted to learn how PCs work and how to take them apart and build them, from that I became more and more interested about tech in general and I've grown to love modding and hacking my devices (both software and hardware) whether it's android or windows.

I was visiting my uncle at the age of 8 and he was (as is my family) into computers, he was playing a variety of games including destruction derby on pc, I had a good bash and he gave me a computer to build the next week so I could play the game myself, but he told me I had to do everything myself and he'd help if needed, but I didnt go to my uncle for every little thing, I'd work on it myself for days or weeks if needed, trying hard to source out my machine's problem with the "not as good as these days" internets back when I was so young and without access to such things..

Assembly, DOS/Windows/Tweaking the entire PC's life. Many re-installs of my beloved machine, enthused every minute.

AMD DX-100 @ 120mhz, coming into the age from the end of Windows 3.11 (StreetRod) to Win95(Tweaking) & Win98 with Tickboxes galore to break Windows :) , installing over the top, programs still work fine.. Win Win.

Sega Rally, Virtua Fighter, 320x240 or 640x480, 8bit or 16bit. Omg I could keep going for AGES.

20+ years later I'm still loving it, the advances in technology, the friendly advice I can give, taken or not,..

My Brother and I both share a love of computers and this has driven us both from past to present with a competative upgrade nature, and growth for knowledge.

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

The internet is what got me hooked. They got computers at my public library back in 1994 and I was in the first group to take internet 'training' to get allowed to use it. I would go there every day as a kid and learn about the internet and computers.

To anybody who isn't old enough to remember, that was a huge deal back then. The web browser we used was NCSA Mosaic, there weren't more than a few thousand web pages (but there was porn), and webcrawler was the big search engine.

My dad would take me to computer fairs or markets I guess they were called. There I got to see all the awesome builds people would make. I liked computer tech from that point on.
