If you don't care about noise... Search 1U dynatron coolers

But if you are using a normal Mini itx mb there are coolers as tall as te I/O ports, iirc that noctua linked above is one of them

This is a signature.

The noctua is better, the stock cooler is 100% free and is acceptable

Not AMD, they're big.

That one is still a bit thick but I think the lowest profile option would indeed be a laptop cooler mounted somehow.

Off the top of my head they perform basically the same, the noctua is just quieter

Specs: 4790k | Asus Z-97 Pro Wifi | MX100 512GB SSD | NZXT H440 Plastidipped Black | Dark Rock 3 CPU Cooler | MSI 290x Lightning | EVGA 850 G2 | 3x Noctua Industrial NF-F12's

Bought a powermac G5, expect a mod log sometime in 2015

Corsair is overrated, and Anime is ruined by the people who watch it

I'd say the CM Gemini is a good and inexpensive choice.

Too high mate :D

This looks promising.. Although poop brown

The stock cooler looks taller and I don't think I'll be getting one with a second hand CPU anyway :/

This is negative profile :D

This... This might actually be it.. I only would have to worry about intake for the case.

I'll have a look at the blower style and the notcua one. This box is tiny, seriously. Tomorrow I'll add dimensions of this case xD

Thin sheet of copper, zip ties, and thermal compound.

It's not very effective.

if you have to insist you think for yourself, i'm not going to believe you.
