No I meant they have the same sort of bussiness like HP, make pre builts, pack in some keyboards and mice and sell them to every school and office in existence.

HP is just more well known.

(I was not saying HP = Packard Bell)

My mom has an old Packard Bell out in her garage, it's still in its original box and everything. She says it was her first college computer. I always tell her that I want to dig it out and mess with it but I'm always told it's too much of a hassle.

My first 486 desktop was a Packard Bell, I got it in 1992.  It had a 3.5 and 5.25 floppy disk drives and a 120mb hard drive.

It's a sub-division of Acer allright.

I have a 2008 Packard Bell Dot netbook, and underneath the skin it shares just about every component with an Acer Aspire A150.

I'm even running an Acer BIOS on mine (the original PB BIOS was too restrictive).
