New build. Any price optimizations/any ways to cut cost without decreasing performance?

I am planning on eventually water cooling and getting 2 more monitors but right now i want to know is there anything i can do to save a bit, keeping the gpu and processor. i am thinking i will not needx that powerfukl of a power supply but i would like to know what i could use.

the computer will use my current ram, monitor and cpu.

Switch the Titan X to a custom PCB 980 ti which performs better for less. The thermal paste is not really needed as Cooler Master coolers come with some okay quality thermal paste. The difference between Artic Silver and Cooler Master paste is 1 or 2 degrees C

well i am getting a summer job and will be making enouigh money to afford this

will i be able to do 3 144 hz 1080p? because that is sort of my goal. and if I am going to use sli 980s i might as well just go with a titan x. unless the two 980s are more powerful

ya 6 gigs of vram is plenty at 4k, let alone 1080p.

You should be able to. 980ti gives the same performance at the titan X at a much cheaper price

Why do you need 1300W PSU? Just go with 850W. It should be enough.

 

EDIT: You can switch Titan X for 980Ti and make yourself a x99 platform with i7 5820K. It's just too bad that you allready purchased DDR3 RAM.

Why do you need 1300W PSU? Just go with 850W. It should be enough.

Guys with dual 980's let alone it's can run 80-95 fps on triple 1080p surround.

And the 980ti is more powerful then the titan X due to more overclocking headroom.
