Temp on my 980Ti

Caloon
Go to solution Solved by Caloon,

Hey guys!

I know that I didn't post much for a very long time, but all my GPU problems have been solved with help of my friend.

How to solve the problem:

-Run your system in save mode and then run this programme. Select Graphic driver (in my case NVIDIA) and  then click Clean and restart (highly recommended) button.

After that, just install your drivers again (in my case GeForce Experience) and that's it.

Here are some GPU-Z screenshots.

Before new Drivers:

before.png

After reinstalling Drivers:

after.png

Both screenshots were made while at idle.

I'd like to thanks all you guys for your suggestions and I hope that my post will help solve your problems.

Heyo guys!

I have my GTX 980Ti for a month now. At the start it's temps were around 40-45 degrees C. Now after a month, they are arond 60-65. This is while looking at the desktop. Is there something to worry about or not? It is a Reference card, so I know they run hotter then the others, but non the less. I'm just worried.

The diference is only that I run now 2 screens instead of one. Could this be the reason that the card is running 20 degrees hotter?

EDIT: Fans run at 25%

Thanks!

Ok thanks. But do you maybe know what is the cause that my card is running hotter now?

GPU load, as you card is under load more the temperatures get hotter, that 40-45C was probably during idle

he clearly states the 60-65 degrees temperature is while looking at the desktop. thats not "fine" for idle temps.

Does this have anything with 2 monitors?

My 970 idled a quite bit warmer after hooking up my 2nd monitor.  Not sure if it has to do with running a higher clock speed to run the two monitors meaning a higher idle voltage.

Maybe all cards are like that?  Also i dont think the fans will start spinning on the 900 series until temps hit 60-65 unless you got a custom fan curve set.

Amm... I don't think so. Only on few custom coolers like MSI Zero Frozer

Opps my bad, I dunno why idle temps would get that bad unless you lowered the fan speeds

Haven't touched the settings. I'll keep researching why this is. If it'll get worse I'll send the card back, or just put CPU and GPU under Custom loop :D

When I had One 1080p screen the temps were around 40-45. Since I added second screen the temps jumped up to 65 degrees C. Im worried becase temps are so high. I didnt have nothing opened...

Oh... Clocks. Sorry. They are stock. I didnt overclocked

What are your temps? with Load temp you mean temp, when the pc boosts? if so around 45˙c. Now after few minutes my gpu temps are 63C and Fan speed is running at 22%. GPU Load is 2%. @SeanAngelo Core Clock are 999.8MHz, Memory Clock 1752.8MHz
