[MassDrop] Audio-Technica ATH M50x Studio Grade Headphones

Lavish

Please note everything from this thread Belongs to its original creator and is intended for informational purposes only. The link to the massdrop page right here. These headphones go for 140-170$ on ebay and sell very fast so this 50% off sale could provide some major profits to those with the spare cash. This is also based off full retail of 240$.

Legendary Headphones

Improving upon one of the most recommended entry-level headphones of all time, Audio-Technica took their well-regarded ATH-M50 and added more low-end response, less treble brightness, softer padding, and interchangeable cables. The result, the Audio-Technica ATH-M50x Headphones, is a sonic and structural upgrade poised to oust its older sibling from the headphone throne.

At check-out, you will have your choice of color between the White or Black models. Both models (particularly the Black) are limited, so act quickly to secure your pair.

Fantastic Sound

While Audio-Technica claims no marked sound improvements from the ATH-M50, Tyll Hertsens from Innerfidelity hears and measures otherwise. The TL;DR? The bass response has been improved, the peak reduced, and the presentation features less overall noise, eliminating the primary criticisms against the original. Noise isolation is a strong point of the M50x, giving you the isolation you need to enjoy music in noisier environments. The 45 mm drivers are well equipped to deliver a clear, balanced sound across musical genres, making the M50x a great headphone for personal listening as well as studio monitoring.

Overall Construction

The padded ear cushions are fully sealed for ideal isolation and can swivel 180 degrees for one-ear monitoring, perfect for professional studio use or for those who are constantly on the go. With three interchangeable cables (two straight and one coiled) of varying lengths, the ATH-M50x offers flexibility for all users. It even works wonders on the road, as the headphones collapse for portability and stay cozy for hours. With plushier padding on the headband and ear cushions for your listening enjoyment, the ATH-M50X sounds great from a phone but shows significant improvement through a headphone amplifier. The flexible use case combined with the unmatched comfort make this a very compelling headphone indeed.

Obviously ebay is overpriced then. Also I have no idea what you were trying to say with your first sentence.

You uhh... Are you high? Or a troll?

Anyways the standard price for M50x's is $130-$150. I don't know what you are smoking to think that you should base the usual price off of ebay. And even you saying that they were $170 would still not make these 50% off... For something to be 50% off of an object that is $170... That thing must be $85.

Nothing is ever sold at MSRP... They have never been sold above $180. Ever.

True, but this is what the discount was based on. This is still cheaper than amazon and ebay.

You don't base % off by msrp. It is misleading. The constant sale price is $160. You base it off of that.

YOU NEVER BASE ANYTHING OFF OF EBAYS PRICE UNLESS IT IS AN AUTHORIZED RESELLER.
