I'm not going to get into detail about my school this year, and if you decide to criticize me I'm probably going to fucking snap on you. I'm really edgy right now.

Long story short, I'm pulling a 57% in Chemistry, and I have a final worth 50% of my mark in 14 hours. I've done diploma prep courses, but I've really been struggling. I spent all of last weekend (not this past one, but the weekend before) doing 16 hours of an in class prep over 3 days. When things are explained to me, I get them. But here I am, surrounded with review pamphlets from that course, not really remembering anything.

I've been studying for about 7-8 hours today, and I am struggling bad. Two fucking breakdowns and a hole in my wall later, I'm sitting really fucking low here.

I have 2 hours to do 60 questions (44 multiple choice, 14 numerical response). So no fucking time at all.

Does anyone have any tips. Not even chemistry tips, just anything that will help me pull through with a 44%. I'm desperate now.

Drowning yourself in knowledge isn't going to help, I can tell you that. As long as you get a D, you wont have to take the class again, but if you fail, summer school chemistry is probably a lot easier than what you're taking now.

Take a break and do something else. Don't study if it will hurt your mental health. Its not worth it.

Also if you have a 44% and need a 60% to pass(this is how it is where i am). Stop studying you cant get it high enough.

There is much more to life than school and you need to think of how much this will affect in 10-20 years and if this is worth it.

sleep
dont cram before the test, youre going to forget from tiredness more than you will learn by studying

just rest, relax, eat well, and dont stress
you will do a lot better than if you try to do practice questions until the last second, then you will forget a lot more during the test

Take enough rest to calm down a bit. Get some sleep and study again when you wake up. 55 minutes of studying, 5 minute break, repeat until time is up.

And if you fail, you fail. There's little you can do about that. Without knowing the entire story I'll assume you've had a regular year with time to study, in which case I can only say that some things just aren't suited to some people.

I have a 56.64% or something. So I need a 43-44% to pass. If I don't pass, then I don't graduate. So it's not exactly something to shrug off.

Just cleared up on 11 hours of studying. So we'll see how it goes

so you understand the topic when it gets explained, but you don't when you have to do it yourself?

in that case ask the person who explains it to you to make some exercises together, where you do the work and he/she helps where you don't understand it. if you can do this a few times, you will start to really understand it, also ask for extra work and later review it together
