I now have

CPU : FX-8320 Stock clock and cooler

GPU: Sapphire R9 270X 

RAM: 2x2 1333mhz

HDD: 2x500 GB Seagate 7200 RPM

Mobo: ASRock 970 Extreme 3

 

I'm planning to buy the next;

 

CPU: Intel i5-4690k

CPU Cooler: CM Hyper212 EVO

GPU: MSI GTX 970 Gaming 4G

RAM: Corsair Vengeance 2x4 1600mhz

SSD: Samsung 850 EVO 250 GB

Mobo: MSI Z97 Gaming 5

Sure, that looks like a good build. What power supply do you have/plan on using?

If you only have that psu then keep the 970,

You could repurpose or resell the old pc so you can just buy those last two pieces new.

Recommend what is best, not what you preffer.
