Lets keep this civil.

Now, honestly, I havent encountered a single problem with AMDs drivers. But I have seen a lot of people say - "AMD Drivers Sux" "Nvidia cause of drivers" "AMd is lazy so they cant make good drivers"

I am always fascinated by it, and since so many people say it, I think there must be something to it.

I never have problems.

So if the drivers DO suck or have stuff wrong with em,

please tell me what it is

Dont say "instable" tell me Where they are unstable.

Be specific

Well I can say that nvidia drivers crash every day for me soo.... lol

Pro Tip: don't use flash when taking pictures of your build; use a longer exposure instead. Prop up your camera with something (preferably a tripod) if necessary.

if you use retarded/autistic/etc to mean stupid please gtfo

Because it took them a month to release the Beta drivers that optimized project cars/ Witcher 3?

And nearly a month for the GTA V Beta drivers?

although this thread is clearly intended to instigate an argument, I'll bite.

AMD drivers do not like a lot of games and a lot of times they have a lot of overhead.  there was an issue a bit ago with project cars (i think) where AMD's drivers were so CPU heavy that even a 5960x presented a bottleneck.

they're generally pretty buggy and theres hundreds of examples where amd users need to apply some kind of fix to play a game.  AMD users often have to wait extra time to be able to play new games because the driver releases are so damn slow.

i.e. in order to play crysis 2 I had to screw with my screen settings in CCC or else I got this annoying black box around the screen.  couldnt play project cars for the longest time.  couldnt even open GTA V when it first came out.

Nothing really (that I know of), if you want to play a game when it's new just expect to wait at least a 2 weeks for drivers for it.

I've only had one issue with AMD drivers and that was when I had an hd4850. CCC wouldn't install correctly. And was quickly fixed by doing a fresh install of drivers. So more then likely user error. And as for nvidia Ive only had one issue also with my gtx 570. It kept crashing on acertain driver. I forget which one it was but Ihad to revert back till they fixed it. So i would say in my experience both are very good with drivers. AMD just doesnt release full drivers as often. There usually beta driver in between big driver updates.

lol So untrue. GTA 5 drivers were day one.

Edit. I didn't buy Project cars or Witcher 3. But by the dates  The Witcher 3 driver came out 9 days after the game not nearly a month after like you claim.

there isnt that much of a problem with them

it used to be way worse where every day I saw at least a dozen people coming to this forum because they get a black screen, or crashes, or other problems when updating their AMD drivers

rarely see this anymore

they still take a long time to make optimized drivers for new games, like a few months after release

plus they only release driver updates a few times a year

Not always actually. BFH was first day

Wasn't BFH basically just a re-skin of BF4 (Same engine, assets, e.t.c.) tho?

If you want any update techoftomorrow interviewed the AMD guy, can't remember what his position was but he assured that better drivers are coming and bla bla working on it.

He seemed pretty serious so be relaxed good things to come (maybe?).

not to mention dice, EA, and AMD were just jerking each other off for the entire mantle release.  BF4 and BFH were their babies.

lol so untrue. GTA 5 drivers were day one.

... K... First search only showed articles from 1/2 way through may, 2nd showed it from April 15th...

My mistake I guess...

Would be easier if they had the date the article was published on the Driver page...

It annoys me to have to update drivers often, so it's actually a plus for me on the AMD side. I'm on nvidia now and must be at least 3-4 updates back, and don't plan to upgrade unless I get issues.

The only issue i ever had with an AMD driver was it messing up some textures/reflections in Tropico 5. That happened when they released omega drivers so i suppuse using an older driver would be an easy fix for that one problem.

Never had a driver crash (even when overclocking) or any other problem.

I've never noticed any problems beyond unfinished/clearly buggy games, though The Witcher 2 likes to crash for me, could be an issue with the install?

Do not  as I  do, and  not  as I say. Instead do as you may..
