What Was Your Biggest Waste of Money Ever?

GaS

why did it skyrocket? Jesus Christ. My memory costs double what it did... DDR4 isn't even out yet.

The prices lowered when retailers or whoever manages prices though that the upcoming release of Haswell would get everyone excited to buy more parts. The prices rose up when it turned out Haswell didn't make that much of an impact.

My HTC 8x.

Windows Phone 8 is rubbish

I like Windows Phone 8 :( but if you don't like the platform, you don't like the platform I guess :) , I mean I don't enjoy the IOS experience... For example.

And definitely my iPod Touch, I just play Music on my phone now.... didn't like it, and never used it... D: what a waste.

PROFILEYEAH

What do people even put in these things?

while I was saving for my pc I got impatient and splurged and bought a ps3. I already owned the games for it plus I already have a ps3 but it ran out of room on the hdd. so instead of getting a new hdd I just kinda blew $270 on a new console. I used it for 3 months then sold it for $150 to save up for my gpu. biggest waste of money ever...

:o no comment. lol

PS2

Bought it for $175 and then one month later the PS3 came out and stores were were selling it for $50... That plus I only played it for about a month.

Wii

Played it for about a month.

iPod Touch 3rd Gen

It broke within 6 months and stupid me didn't realize that it had a warranty so I opened it up and broke it even more.

I bought a Korean 1440p monitor, which arrived destroyed by Fed Ex. The eBay seller paid for the return shipping, but I was never refunded the $50 Fed Ex charged me to bring the thing across the border.

I basically paid $50 to have a ton of my time wasted by an incompetent eBay seller.

Probably my biggest waste of money ever, was my camcorder. Aiptek AHD AF1 Full-HD camcorder. Not capable of recording 1080p footage at 30 fps even it was advertised with that framerate, microphone is terrible (and in awkward spot), night shooting is absolutely terrible... I probably should've saved 500€ for a decent DSLR.

So protip: don't buy a camcorder that's only 100€. It's gonna be almost worse than cameras that modern smartphones have.

Never trust my advice. Only take any and all advice from me with a grain of salt. Just a heads up.
