If you can get this

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/g27v7P

It would be better for gaming in every way. You're looking at either an i5-4690k with something like a R9 280x, or an i5-4460 with a 970 if you can fit it. The 970 will perform much better and the i5-4460 won't bottleneck

I'd recommend a 280X, does anyone else agree?

970 is way off my budget :(

It's way in your budget if you get an i5-4460 :D

Try getting a 290 trix, those seem to be about the same price

I don't understand this

There are different 290s .... 4Gigs 3Gigs and 2Gigs

Sometimes 3 Gigs are more expensive than 4Gigs ...

Help me out please

If you can make $280 you can put an extra $40, just don't call those porn 1-900-xxx-xxxx numbers and get a 290x or a 970.

2 and 3 GB 290's shouldn't exist, please link me to one? We're talking about AMD R9 290's, yeah?

I would get the 4Gb version so if you want you can run at higher resolution later and not have to worry about getting a new card with more vram.(As far as I know there all 4Gb and higher 290's)

Sapphire makes great AMD cards and this one is a good card and fits your price point too.

Well the guy suggested an AMD R9 290. Not an R9 270, or R9 280. He suggested an R9 290.

Dual X is the cooler and Boost OC is the factory overclock

For the price you put in your original post you should be looking at much better cards than the 270x. You can get 290's / 290x's for under 300$ and that will be the best price to performance for your price range. If you want to spend 30 - 50$ more you can get a 970. Up to you.
