i can tell the difference between 60hz and 65hz mind you...i have my display overclocked to 65hz because it does make a difference and i can only imagine what 120 or 144FPS would look like...btw your eyes does not have shutters and human eye can see 1 white frame inserted at 240hz...this has been demonstrated by the US army soldiers already...some jet pilot will even catch a different color frame at 500hz.

LoL I do preffer 60fps cause it feels more smooth when playing but I cant see anything change on the screen.

 

DX 12 will not make the four year old 8350 better than an i5 4690k.

Not saying it will in a actuall DX12 but in tests it seems it wins... But a test is not really a game so!

I have a Gigabyte Z97-HD3. So I can. I don't think I can overclock my 4590 much because it's not the "K" version.

 

You CAN overclock the locked CPU.  You have to increase the BCLK... but... this does things like overclock the RAM too.  So if you overclocked your current CPU you would have to step the RAM multiplier down.  You would need to watch a few examples... Linus does this kind of overclocking all the time.  Watch him OC the Xeons, it is the exact same thing.

 

I am just trying to help you solve your issues with out having to spend money.  Adding 300-400Mhz could solve your problem.  What is your CPU cooler?

It does not bottleneck it! Not even the Athlon X4 860K will bottleneck a 780!

 

It will easily... Even a R9 280 is bottlenecked by one of those athlons... But a i5 4590 will be fine with a 780ti unless you get into benching. Then single threaded performance in like Valley will become a bottlenecking factor. But for daily use with like streaming or gaming and multitasking, you're perfectly fine.

Unless the FPS goes lower than the HZ on the monitor there is no bottleneck!

 

But some games the Athlons will go as far down as 30fps and I doubt there is a 30HZ screen anywhere?
