Civilization 5 or beyond earth?

considering getting one of the civ games above, never played any of the series but latley have been wanting to try them.. civ 5 especially looks tempting at about £5. 

what are your opinions?

CIV 5 with brave new world. Best combo so far ;)

Civ 5 + Brave New World expansion is fantastic.

 

Haven't played Beyond Earth but from what I've heard it's basically just a reskin.

If you are going to buy Civ V then get the complete edition, it's worth the extra £

CIV V is a much more polished and balanced game given that you also get the DLC:s which really add a lot to the game and are pretty much mandatory for playing more serious multiplayer games. There is also a very good multiplayer community for CIV 5 with devoted and dependable player.CIV BE has potential but I believe we might have to wait for DLC:s for major updates. I have both and have about 500 hours in CIV 5 and 40 in CIV BE.
