fair enough.. the actually difference doesnt seem to be big enough to matter a lot.. most times mx2 isnt in my local shop so i get mx4 either way its awesome stuff to work with

I have used IC for years now and have never had a problem, other then it being really thick but thats easy to fix with a glass of how water.

Not many people might agree, but I really like Shin-Etsu

Gives great temps for the price and its pretty easy to mount.

My favourite is the indigo extreme stuff but it's just way too expensive in case you need to remount for some reason

I use MX-2. I also have a tube of IC Diamond laying around, but I rarely use it

I use IC Diamond, but The Noctua stuff that came with my D14 was good too.

Ya I'm kinda iffy about ic diamond because it scuffs heatsinks and chips.

NT-H1 and IC Diamond seem to perform about the same within margin of error, either is a great choice.

Why do people say that IC Diamond is bad because it has diamonds that scratch up the cpu or heatsink

Imo comparing thermal compound is taking it bit over. I got Noctuas with old cpu cooler and there's still enough left for next time.

I'm using NT-H1 that came with my D14, is actually easy to work with. Probably going to switch over to Arctic Silver 5 as soon as it's empty.

Why as5? That's a downgrade... Plus it needs 200 hours of cure time.

I run as5 as well and its forked fine. As far as the cure time, i'm not going to change it consistently so its not really a problem for me.

IC Diamond....outstanding paste...thick but put in a warm/hot cup o water and it softens up....applied to both my 7950s and CPU.

what about the IC corrsive .... i mean IC Diamond problems  with corrosive and eat copper ??
