Hello Guys, I swapped my GTX 470 with a new GTX 970 and played a little csgo.
The thing is that my FPS went from ca. 180 with the 470 to like 80-100 with heavy drops and the 970.
All drivers are newly installed and up to date.
The In game settings are still the same as are all other components.
The GPU runs about 15-20% usage (Only in CSGO).

I already reinstalled and reconfigured the Game with no change.

Somebody got some ideas?

Did you apply the optimal settings in Geforce Experience?

Could be that you used to run low settings wit the 470 and now you run higher settings with the 970.

What are the cpu temps and gpu temps?

How much ram do you have?

An AMD cpu has no place in a solely gaming build, end of.

-snip-

That game is very much CPU based, not GPU.

To be honest, going from a 470 to 970 with the same CPU will not increase fps in CS:GO.

Have you tried monitoring the CPU and GPU performance?

No I did not change a thing settings are still low.

Temps are low ca. 50°C. 8 GB of ram. Nothing in my system is pushed to the limit in CSGO at the moment. And I don't know why.

I know but it shouldn't decrease them either and the 470 was the bottleneck before! Btw New CPU and Mainboard are on the way.

I did try and the result was that nothing hits the limit.

I went from a 580 to a 280x and saw a fps boost from 200 to 300-500fps
