I work on average of 27 hours a week as a freelance network and server technician. I make around 1200$ a week, but it all depends on what I am doing.

It is sadly not enough to earn a comfortable living where I live. Luckely my wife has an education and a real job, so we get by just fine.

I have worked for the same company for 7 years now. It's been a long ride and I started at the bottom, but I now make $2240. That is take home pay every week.

is it hard to get a job in america

national unemployment last I checked was like 15%, and that only counts people getting unemployment checks from the government, I think the actual rate is probably closer to 20-25% :/

it doesn't help that more and more jobs require you to speak spanish

where do u live. $1200 is a lot in most countrys

I live in Denmark, the land of expensive stuff. I do alright for a person with no vaild education, that works 10 hours less than the maximum. You also have to consider, that the minimum wage is a little over 20$ an hour here.

It of course also depends on what you mean with "comfortable living". I would probably be able to live of my salary, but I couldn't live in the semi-large house in Copenhagen I do now, or be able to feed and dress my daughter.

Jealousy, jealousy everywhere. :) Lol.

You already said that you work at an indie game studio somewhere on this forum, impressive numbers. But I guess you have colleagues, £95k the whole team or just you? By the way I think you would have quite a few sales just by posting here that you released a game :P.

Also there was already a topic similar to this, though salary was not in the question but where we work, so I'll answer again.

I'm a freelancer at repairing PC's, sometimes for free sometimes for money. So my salary ranges from 0 to 50-100€/month. (The reason I can live with 0€/month is because I'm home) Before I came home I worked in another city as a customer service agent through phone for the AOL customers in the US. Was having like 287€/month + 43€ worth food vouchers, it might seem little but in my country this is way above average. But I gave up college so I didn't have a reason to stay there. And now I'm looking for a job in UK something with a salary above £1250-£1300. :) That's about my job situation right now.

I work night shift 20-38 hrs a week at a supermarket, which just so happens to be the busiest supermarket in my state.

I earn $24/hr and $28/hr after midnight and around $35+/hr on sundays.

All in all about $400-$900 a week, depending on how much I work.

I'm a casual so I don't get paid leave.

My everything hurts and I want a job that involves computers T_T

I work at a local supermarket this month.

Earning about 600 dollar/week, 45-hours/week.

About 12 euro/hour. I am getting bonusses because I start before 7 am, sometimes work past 8pm (depending which shift I work), get 0.20 euro/km I have to drive from house-work and vice versa, because I work on saturdays and depending on what shift I work, a 1 euro/hour bonus because I work in the freezer.

Proud to be from Belgium.
