Never seen this mainly because I watch YouTube on my iPad

Why not, they iove collecting tons of data, maybe to improve their video recommendations

it's a lot more specific than just "Like the video if you liked it, dislike if you thought it sucked, leave a comment if your feelings are more complicated than *this*", so I guess it would be nicer in that way.

Maybe LTT could have a version on its channel where it selects a random vegetable as one of the options?

how would this make them money?

Better targeted ads? I think you earn more if the ad is actually clicked. (I could be wrong)
