CPU-Z, GPU-Z, HWMonitor, RealTemp and an assortment of benchmarks are what I use to monitor and test things.

Prime95

Prime95 is not a good program. It doesn't really monitor anything, and has issues with overvolting some CPUs. Aida64 is a better stability tester, but even then, real world benches will be better than stress tests that put an unrealistic load on the CPU.

MSI Afterburner on my PC is set to monitor, my GPU stats(FPS, clocks, vram usage, fans), ALL my CPU cores, individually, and their load.. frametimes,..system memory, a HUGE list of things.

All at once.. and in games, I select which I want to show in the overlay.

Thats just for running games..

There is also Aida64/CPU-Z/GPU-Z/HWMonitor and Realtemp as listed above in previous posts.

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

True, real world tests are better, but I use stuff like Prime95 for overclocking, just to be safe when its at 100% load.

Even then, P95 is not good. It can cause issues when voltages are set to auto (particularly on Haswell I think). Aida64 is much better.
