I personally use enigma.

But anything specific you're searching for?

I use the network usage and CPU/memory monitors a lot.

Besides that i have some notes and a clock. All of this on my secondary monitor for easy access.

But rainmeter can be used for almost anything.

When in doubt: C4

I use Rainmeter with the Omnimo skin. I have a very light, minimalistic skin for it. The Google Chrome button works, and I like it, even if I do have a taskbar icon. The e-mail icon works, the network connection one is useful, the CPU / RAM can be very useful to see, at a glance, if Vegas Pro is using OpenCL for a render. (If it isn't, CPU usage will go up to 80-90%) and so on. Very clean, non-intrusive, and I couldn't be happier. :-)

I'm using ForceX. Download Rainmeter (set it to start on startup), download ForceX and install it. Then you can easily decide which items you're gonna use and which ones you're gonna disable.

The ability to google properly is a skill of its own.
