Whole desk mousemat?

Dimi3os

Hey guys, I would like to know what material is used in "gaming grade" mousemats since I'd like to "make" a mousepad that covers my whole desk.

-snip-

Fabric? And some rubber like material on the bottom?

That really depends on what kind of mousepad you're talking about. Cloth? Plastic? What's the purpose of a whole desk mousepad?

The purpose is that I won't get annoyed about the fact that my keyboard is half of my current mousepad and that I will have enough room to move my mouse...

Why don't you just buy an appropriately sized mousepad then? :D

If you watch TekSyndicate, he went to a hardware store and just ordered a piece of rubber that was the size of his desk, that's his mousepad and has been so for a few years now.

Haha. :D Well it's an interesting project but I doubt you will be able to make it yourself, and I'm unsure if anyone offer a similar solution. XTrac make very big mousepads though, that might solve your problem.

Rubber doesn't exactly sound like the best surface in the world.

You can see the mousepad in this video, he didn't make a video on his mousepad though.

Hmmm my desk is a sheet of 8 x 4, reckon they do a mat that size for less than a tenner?
