4k monitor or an upgrade to an i7 5820k

i currently have an fx 8120 @4.4ghz and an r9 290x, i haven ran into any major issues/ bottlenecks so far and i havent got a problem with my cpu but i just wanted to get some opinions (currently have a nice lg ips 1080p monitor) but the idea of a nice 6-core i7 is sounding very appealing,

what do you guys think?

if you're having bottlenecks, why would you buy a 4K monitor which doesn't solve the problem and means the bottleneck is even more severe relative to the graphics power that you will need then and what you need now?

Anyways I say get the hexacore i7.

EDIT: Seeing other posts, it does make sense to get an i7 4790k instead, but if you're set on the hexacore then get it.

You've probably got no reason to waste the money on a 5820k that you won't fully utilize, get a 4790k instead.

If you get the 5820k you need a x99 board + ddr4 ram which is going to add up the cost by alot. Get a 4790k instead.
