Using R.A.T 7 - Better mouse for upgrading?

So I'm currently using the RAT 7 from Mad Catz/Cyborggaming, and sometimes I got those really weird sensor fails, where it doesn't recognise my movement and a) Moves into the wrong direction for a sec, or b) Doesn't move at all.

And overall it's very heavy, and if I have to just move it a little bit like 1 cm or less, then I can really notice the heavyness of this thing - It somewhat sticks to the mousepad and doesn't move very well. I don't know if other gaming mice are lighter, but this sometimes annoys me.

And please note, I am even using the OFFICIAL mouse pad from Mad Catz designed for these mice!!

Do you have any recommendations for a better mouse? Some said I should get an G502 or something - I don't remember well - Should I?

I would like a mouse that's really reliable and does not have those "issues" like my RAT, and is very light so I can move it well.

The size is perfect of the RAT, and the design is so awesome on my RAT that it's really hard for me to replace it! ;)

Also, is there a way I can fix those problems I mentioned earlier? I got the newest driver & software from cyborggaming.com.

Thanks :)

Logitech's G402 is indeed pretty good.

Pretty sure Corsair's M45 is pretty decent too.

There are some lesser known good brands too, like Zowie.. But not sure about exact models.

I know @Shaqo_Wyn knows quite a bit about mice.

By the way, kinda off topic.. But you can ask these questions in one topic too next time.

The G402 has 2 buttons for changing sensitvity, 1 button for precision aim (lowers the sensitivity quickly) and 2 buttons for whatever you want (like zooming in/out in arma).

Don't forget to Like the things you like!

I went from a rat 7 contagion to a g502, you will have around two weeks of discomfort as the mouse is a lot taller but once that metamorphism is complete you will realise you have a superior mouse. Also its a lot lighter so their is that.

For a mouse that fits your hands like that, try the Mionix Naos 7000. Will track much better and feels great to use.

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.
