Custom water loop VS. 3 AIO's

Should i get a custom watercooling kit or get 3 240mm AIO's? My rig has a 4790K and 2 R9 290x's.

Will the GPU/CPU temps be lower?

that depends on the surface area you give it compared to the AiOs

How much would a custom loop with 3 240mm radiators (with tubing, fittings, etc.) cost VS 3 AIO coolers for $180?

You would be paying a lot more money for it all though you can't put a price on swag.

An AMD cpu has no place in a solely gaming build, end of.

I3 4150, Intel HD graphics, corsair CX750M, 4gb ram, Asus H81M-E, corsair 230T, Intel stock cooler WD Green 2TB Gigabyte 550TI

I have $300 to spend on cooling. Do you have any watercooling kit recommendations?

$300 isn't anywhere close to enough for a custom loop with 2 GPUs and a CPU.

And the AIOs selected will depend on whether it'll work for using AIOs and G10s on the graphics cards. If single 120mm or single 140mm radiator AIOs are selected, then that budget can be maintained with ease. Go for dual 120mm or dual 140mm radiators for all of them and $300 may be cutting it close or won't be enough at all.

240mm radiator for the CPU =$60-$100

2x H55s =$100-$120. No need for anything bigger with the G10.

2x G10 Brackets = $20-$60

2x Gelid Heatsink kits = $26

Why not try Swiftech H240x? It's an expandable AIO water cooling kit. $300 is enough for 1cpu and 2gpu.

you need the h240x and 2 gpu blocks and at least an extra 240mm rad

Depends on how you intend to water cool it. If you're going nothing but AIOs, then yes $300 is enough as @Faceman demonstrated.

But if you're going full custom, the blocks for two graphics cards are going to run a *minimum * of $235 (looking at the lowest-priced block on Performance-PCs) for the 290X cards if he goes full-cover (my wife's block cost $130 for her 290X), and that's presuming he's got reference cards. Even universal GPU blocks, though, are going to probably to run close to $150 for two. Another 240mm radiator brings it to $200 depending on brand and thickness. Add in additional fittings and replacement coolant, plus the H240X and you're at if not over $400 -- full-cover blocks will easily put it over $400, and adding in back plates (recommended as they can assist in passive cooling) will bring probably it close to $500. If you go with universal GPU blocks, you'll need heatsink kits for the GPUs to keep the VRMs and VRAM cool, but you're still talking fittings and replacement coolant.

Sorry, but trying to do anything custom, $300 is not going to cut it.

I priced out a custom loop after being blasted for not having one and to get real quality and not junk it would cost me nearly a $1000.  Not worth it since my temps are low already.  I would Sell the 290x's and get new cards (Nvidia) if heat is an issue.  I had dual 290x's and a 4790K so I know how you feel.
