Posted May 2, 2015 Hey guys! So as it stands I need a new case. I can't fit in my current one. As I couldn't fine anything that I like and is in my pricerange I was thinking of building a case. I already found most of the stuff I need. Altough I'm not sure yet how to do the motherboard standoffs. Is there any way to do it home without any specialized tool? I added a few screenshots of the early designs. Any suggestion would be appriciated! Thanks a lot! Intel core I5 4460, Gigabyte H97M-HD3, Gigabyte gtx 760, 8 GB corsair value ram, Thermaltake core v21, Thermaltake Smart 630W PSU Alcatel OneTouch D5... Posted May 2, 2015 For standoffs on my wood case (check my NAS link in my sig) I just used some plastic spacers from a local hardware store. Basically polyurethane 1/4 inch spacers, worked great! Posted May 2, 2015 Looks like a Corsair Air 540 on it's side to me... I think you can buy motherboard standoffs separately.
Posted May 2, 2015 You can use normal screws and a stack of (plastic) washers. Mineral oil and 40 kg aluminium heat sinks are a perfect combination: 73 cores and a Titan X, Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Oil
 It is kinda similar, but this is like 1/4 the price So there is that. Posted May 3, 2015 it looks good. Maybe you should give the HDDs a bit more room to mount them on antvibration pads when they are so close together. But go on Mineral oil and 40 kg aluminium heat sinks are a perfect combination: 73 cores and a Titan X, Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Oil
