Worth playing Mass Effect 1?

Just started ME1. Went through the first mission already.

Graphics are inferior to 3, but still solid. They don't ruin the experience in any way.

After I am done with 1 and 2, I might replay 3.

Seems to be a lot more mods for ME1 then I thought.  Hmm (starts perusing ME1 mods)

 

:edit: and after perusing for 2 mins, I realized that I mistook number of d/l for number of mods.  Still, awesome resource to have.

Yeah the texture mods are pretty good. They don't have anything for the environment like walls or desks or anything but the ones for character armors are pretty good. 

 

The game also starts to look sharp with downsampling and some sweetfx

I am so hooked on ME1 now.

Just clocked 6 hours and a couple of missions.

The story is just so addictive I just don't look at the graphics.

Great game. Really glad I decided to go for it first.

yeah I dont get why people complain about the graphics, they are still perfectly fine, the story is what the game is about

Just finished the game.

What a ride! really loved it.

But I thought it would be longer.

Did 16 hours with almost all sidequests.

Oh well, time to start Mass Effect 2.

Good choice. Unfortunately I picked Kaiden, my line of thinking went something like this...

-Ashley is hot I should keep her around

-NO! I can't let the fact that Ashley is hot come before my friendship with Kaiden. Bros before whores. So I saved Kaiden LOL.

 

Later I realized he is the most boring person in the milky way. I'd rather talk to an Elcor.

 

And then in Mass Effect 3 he invited me for lunch and tried to hit on me.

I liked ashley from the start. Since the first mission she was always on my squad, so when the time came, pretty easy choice.

Let's see how it plays out on the next two games.
