TV show for computer geeks?

Why dont computer geeks have there own tv show? Car guys do, cooks have tv shows, so do gardeners, and loads of other people have a tv show for there hobbies, but not computer guys? Would you want a tv show for computer guys, like a top gear for computers, or am I just stupid for even thinking of this?

Yeah, but it needs to be in 4k 60fps and everyone involved must know alot about computers, none of this "computer, enhance image" crap

possibly, but it wont get as much views (deal with it, people who watch TV would rather have some singing show...) and really wont get people into PC building to be honest..

I doubt it, people who watch a lot of tv usually do not coincide with people who may appreciate LTT content.

The problem is alot of the PC geeks are college / uni kids, and they usually just take a laptop and / or computer with a monitor to their dorms, so a TV show isn't going to reach them till it comes online, defeating the entire purpose of it being on TV.

Our governmental TV broadcasted a TV show for geeks between 1981 and 2003 but they canceled it "because of reasons".:(

Before the internet was widely available they sometimes stopped to talk so they could distribute code instead of audio. Later they distributed code in a small frame within the picture(in the vblank gap) which could be captured by a tv tuner card.

It was for real geeks.

I want a TV show like Tanked and it will be called PC Masters. They will go around and find people who have some money and a reason for a computer and someone who needs it. Like a disabled kid or war veteran like TV. Then they build an all custom PC to fit the theme of what the person likes. During the TV show you can also through in some facts about computers to educate the public.

I can remember watching this show called Intel's Kitchen, or at least an upload of it to YouTube. It's a game show-styled PC building competition (think something like Hell's Kitchen, but with PCs instead). It's also in Swedish, but the upload I watched was subtitled in English.

there's the gadget show in the UK , but tech changes too quick to be on tv these days.

plus tv has to have merit of repeats and IT tech cant really do that

Television is a dying platform, good riddance.

 

I vote for a daily WAN show, if I had millions of dollars I'd pay linus to do it. (followed by late night The Tek)

 

And beans, of course. Baked Beans.

Youtube is really the best platform for stuff. I have been watching a lot of videos about CNC machining lately. I don't expect there to be a tv show about that.
