pretty sure its showing you available memory out of total memory

and no it doesnt stack

to see the proper vram usage you should look at afterburner

The game fake stacks memory so it just adds up the memory consumed by the main card , I mean the max memory because the VRAM is mirrored.

Dunno how to explain better lol.

Basically it means nothing.

Total Biscuit mentioned this. If you have SLI it combines the RAM but then doubles the requirements. Go watch his Port Report on it.

http://prntscr.com/6w7ygmand I thought vram doesn't stack? Maxing it takes over 10gbs

It's a glitch. It's double memory used. So it's really only 4gb that will be needed.

it shows the total memory from both cards. so you have to half the values to get the true accurate amount.

Gaming PC: • AMD Ryzen 7 3900x • 16gb Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 3200mhz • Founders Edition 2080ti • 2x Crucial 1tb nvme ssd • NZXT H1• Logitech G915TKL • Logitech G Pro • Asus ROG XG32VQ • SteelSeries Arctis Pro Wireless

Laptop: MacBook Pro M1 512gb

It's a bug I think.

It'll total up the VRAM you have across the board even in SLI, but then your projected usage also practically doubles. So if you have two 4GB cards in SLI, for example, and you max the game out, the projected amount of VRAM usage will be about 5-6GB out of 8GB instead of 2-3GB out of 4GB.

if it means nothing why won't it let me go ABOVE it? It tells me to lower my settings

The first settings in graphics is to turn the limit off.

I'm playing the game on very high with 2GB and it's showing 3GB usage even though I'm running fine with 50-70fps depending on the area.

And a tip ignore the ultra settings they make barely a difference with a big performance impact instead push up AA or advanced settings it will give you a better result.
