cold computer rooms

anyone else here use a heating pad while on the computer cause there computer room is so cold..I like sitting on my heating pad...toasty warm ^_^

Where the hell do you live? I would love my room to be cold while using my PC, my room get super warm.

What part of Canada?

 

I live in Toronto and even during winter the Government Mandatory heating here keeps me really warm.

 

Atleast I think it's government mandatory since I can't turn it off and it sucks during summer.

That's not supposed to do that....

Heating pad? I have 8 cores for that(lol). If I'm cold I usually snuggle up in my jammies since I get hot real easily. One year it was really cold during the winter so I reversed all of the fans so that my computer would blow hot air on me(lol), but I haven't had to resort to that since.

and its not mandatory in a home you own yourself

and im way to cheap to reinsulte my walls

I spent the winter in Alberta and it was still warm. So if you're cold this time of year then 1. you can't handle cool temps 2. you have holes in your walls.

I would love 15C...3 when I woke up and 8 now.. 15 sounds nice, like a boating day.

 

I don't like the Canadian winters or cold in general, rather have 25C than -25C any day, at least I can go out instead of trying to keep warm

I rather 25C for only 1 reason, I can go out on my boat. Other than that I rather -25C, I can put more layers on but can't take more off at 25C. My body handles heat badly, air temp of over 22C my hands feel like they are burning. Burnt them in the sun a few years ago and now they are super sensitive to heat. Also sweat like hell in -5C so 25C is hell.

true , however i had an idea to go outside and try to overclock in -40 temps lol. still on my list of random bad ideas to try :P

lol ikr , i haven't tried yet (as its summer and im currently in bc as opposed to Alberta where it used to get to -40) im not even sure it would work properly , concerns for condensation over ride my curiosity xD

we had -52c here last year with the windchill

Haha yeah some insulation on the motherboard would be a good idea if you want it to last.
