HELP All of my Games Crash

nuttysandwich

All of my games seem to crash 10-20 mins into playing. Games like GTA 5, Saint Row 4, and Far Cry 4. Updated all my drivers and still crashes. It doesn't crash for games like payday 2. I tried reformating, restarting, updating driver and checked system requirements for these games. Anyone have any suggestions on how to fix it.

Asrock z87m extreme 4 (I Think)

i7-4770k

HD7870

16gb Corsair Vengence Ram

1 TB WD Black Caviar

Antec 550w psu

Is there any sort of overclock on the gpu?

Does windows say anything about a gpu driver crash, when the game crashes? because if so then it is gpu related.

try running something like msi afterburner, or gpuz to see what was going on before it crashed, to see if it was running too warm, or it downclocked...

Cpu: Ryzen 2700 @ 4.0Ghz | Motherboard: Hero VI x370 | Gpu: EVGA RTX 2080 | Cooler: Custom Water loop | Ram: 16GB Trident Z 3000MHz

you should time it..and see if it always crashes around the same time..if it does..then its likely a heat problem

Try running furmark and/or its CPU burn in and see if crashes still occur.

Update bios, GPU, soundcard etc. and if the crashes persist, try to get parts to test yours individually, RMA whatever had the crashes.

I don't trust any temp programs except hwmonitor...check with hwmonitor

other programs can have up to a 10c diff

reinstall all your drivers

start scanning your computer for virus using Malwarebytes

do MemTest

Budget? Uses? Currency? Location? Operating System? Peripherals? Monitor? Use PCPartPicker wherever possible.
