Hello, and thanks for reading this already!

If I use wireless headphones, will there be latency issues compared to wired heapdhones?

Thanks in advance!

If you get decent ones. It's fine.

I used a wireless logitech headset for 2 years and tbh it was great!

Never got issues with it, exept for it breaking 2 times, but that was just the fault of the sloppy build quality.

The fact you can just walk around is actually very nice.

I used it in an appartment and the range of it was good enough to go almost everywhere.

Getting a drink? Just go and don't worry about the headset, the music will just keep going.

Going to the toilet? Same thing.

Once you get used to the pro's of it, it's really nice.

wireless stuff been around for more than 2 decades, so latency is no longer issue

also there are few option for how it delivered, bluetooth, or radio signal (the same one with Wireless a/b/g/n/ac/etc)

if you like your headset on multiplatform, bluetooth is great

you can use for phone, consoles, or any device with bluetooth

the only issue is battery

Not really tbh, i had to charge my headset every 2 days, and most of the time after 2 days it was still going so i plugged it in for the night and not bother about it. I used it for 12-14 hours a day then, with ligher use i had to charge it maybe 2 times a week.

But it will be an issue now and then, true. But a decent one can be used while charging like mine could.

I'm only planning on using it with my computer, what technology is the fastest? Bluetooth is theoretically slow, isn't it?

I know bluetooth is fine, a friend of me got also a wireless headset with bluetooth, and that doesn't have any issues with latency.

The one i have uses the 2.4Ghz stuff to communicate. The only issue that i found with it was, it doesn't work that well when you are close to a working microwave. But that's the only weird thing i had with it. I would say, it's all good, just take what you please.

edit: carkits work also with bluetooth and tbh they always work fine without latency issues.

if you are using 2.4ghz device ofcourse it will get disrupted from microwave, that's why 5ghz band are becoming more common for wireless, 2.4ghz band is crowded with household applicance

battery will be issue sooner or later, because most headset/phones using built in battery, means we can't replace it

if you can find one with regular AA/AAA battery that would make it easier to replace, because you can use regular re-chargeable battery.

bluetooth is still in developement, current day standard is 4.0, the newest is 4.2, it has enough/or more bandwith required for voice/sound, and it's backward compatible with lower version of bluetooth.

but I don't think you should worry about that, every headset/phones I know comes with an adapter anyway, but overall wireless headphones/set are more pricey than wired headphones/set

Thanks for the help, @samcool55 @Blebekblebek and @FloRolf!

What headphones do you suggest?
