Use automatic font-color please. A lot of members here (including me) use a black theme which makes your text unreadable.

As for upgrading, I think you have to build a new PC completely, while keeping the PSU.

Mah Build:  CPU: Intel i7-7700K COOLING: NZXT Kraken X52 GPU: Asus Strix GTX 1080 MOBO: Asus Strix Z270F RAM: 16GB GSKILL TridentZ RGB 3000

CASE: In Win 303 STORAGE: Samsung 850 EVO 250GB, Seagate 1TB  SSHD PSU: EVGA Supernova G2 750W

There are not a whole lot of good GPU's at that budget.

maybe something like a R7 260 would be good, but I'm not sure how expensive that will be for you.

And what kind of brand GPU does your friend have?

You should download one of the user scripts that changes text to automatic color. very helpful

Location Lithuania(If you know where it is :D) about 50-100$ PSU brand Codegen 500w

I would suggest by changing the the PSU and then upgrading the GPU

I suggest looking for a used GPU.  His CPU will be OK for gaming for now.  Look around for used parts locally, let us know what you find in that price range.

No need to get agitated, it is not wise to use a GPU with a wonky (no brand) PSU.

I still think something like a R7 260 is best for this scenario. It kind of is bottom tier, but your friend has a (very) small budget

I've seen some pretty scary reviews of Codegen power supplies.

http://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/psus/2014/06/20/550w-650w-psu-roundup/5

http://www.anandtech.com/show/5791/codegen-pcase-460w-low-price-poor-quality/4

I don't know what model this one is, but I'm just pointing out that they have a track record. Be very wary of pushing it to 500 Watts, because the units in those reviews were not able to safely output their advertised wattage.

As long as your friend knows his PSU could cause problems (catastrophic PSU failure can destroy your entire system), and he accepts the risk, that's totally fine.  His budget is small, and upgrading his PSU might not be possible.  Look around for a used GPU, preferably something that won't draw too much power, and go for it.  While you are looking for a used GPU, go ahead and search for a used PSU at the same time, you might be able to find a good deal.
