So I finished my new build a few days ago and of course went to go bring it to its knees. So I loaded up Crysis 3 and maxed everything out. And.I was getting ~35 fps. So everything looked beautiful standing still but moving was pretty Meh and I don't wanna be a console pleb. So I lowered my AA for 8x msaa to 8 ssa (I think I have that wrong) and now I get 60ish frames solid.

My question to you guys is... given the option. What AA do you use?

What ever is the highest option in games.

Forced 4x MSAA on my Droid Maxx though

FXAA if I don't want to lose too much performance.

TXAA is my standard usually.

i use 4x, because i cant see a difference between 4x, 6x, and 8x

and if 4x hits the fps too hard, i simply do 2x

I honestly thought you were talking about batteries when I clicked. I don't do AA though, or rather, my APU won't.

I cannot be held responsible for any bad advice given.

I've no idea why the world is afraid of 3D-printed guns when clearly 3D-printed crossbows would be more practical for now.

I honestly don't see everyone's big problem with FXAA, sure there are better options, but its not terrible.  I will usually take SMAA, TXAA if available. Maybe my eyes too blurry to see the blurriness :P

at the very most i will use 4x but usually off or fxaa. i prefer the fps gain however some games can be annoying to look at all the jagged lines without aa on

Thanks for the article. Interesting to see where everyone sits on it. Most seem to not care past 2xAA

hm when i got used to seeing jagged edges there are a lot of games on pc that i can also find them quite noticeable maybe not as noticeable as on console but still noticeable
