What program do I use to design a custom PC Case

Go to solution Solved by Nineshadow,

Blender is free and awesome. I personally use it and really enjoy it.

The vector file is a file containing all the vertices, lines, curves, faces with their respective materials, etc.By default, Blender saves these as .blend. Should work, but you should always ask first.

Then for the image, just simply render an image of your scene.

However, Blender isn't specifically made for designing things like these. It can certainly do it, but it can do so much more. You can design objects, you can edit images and videos, you can do "art" style renders, you can film movies, you can have realistic renders or use freestyle for a cartoonny efect, there's so many things to do.. Blender is your multi-purpose tool.

If you just want to design your case, then sketchup would also work.

Hey guys, I got a budget of 150 USD and instead of buying a case, I decided to make one myself. For that to happen, I will need to design the case with a program and then send the design to the company that's going to custom cut the plexi panels. So I need something to design the case and to also be able to save a "Vector" file... or something like that, I mean that he asked me for a vector. No idea what that is, but for now I just need a program. Thanks a lot :)

Thanks, but a piece of paper wouldn't have done it. As I said, the guy wants a Vector file with the dimensions and 2D image of the was the pieces are supposed to look.I'll take a look at the first 3, thanks :)
