First hand experience here, though not necessarily from college. During those periods, I pretty much sleep, a lot. I still go to work though, not so much because I'm forced to, but because this body I'm stuck with had better do what I tell it to. Even more painful injuries don't make me relent.

Not really, it's that I typically find it more difficult to do much else. If I can equate the feeling to something, it would have to be the feeling of walking around under water.
