Well for one I have a gsync monitor and I like geforce experiences to deal with the drivers for me. (I can do drivers myself if just streamlines it and makes it easier to trouble shoot if the downloaded drivers never install like with the amd drivers when I had a R9 295x2) Lastly I like the customer service of evga and I dont want to have to deal with a different company.

Holy shit you had a 295X2, you're the first I know. But drivers for it weren't great? Well a lot of AMD's problems say things about their lower budget and this is one of them.

Yeah can't argue with that. EVGA has had its bad cases that I've read on this very forum, but they get bad stories less than a lot of other companies.

 

I've heard little about MSI being terrible though, I trust them a bit more than Gigabyte and ASUS. XFX also has pretty good CS and Sapphire's pretty good, for the AMD only side

That's too bad...  We've hardly gotten any snow here in Wisconsin either.  (Or at least the south east part where I live.)

Yeah, and the drivers (when they installed) were fine its just they never installed making it redundant to own the gpu and DDU remover and downloaded again and it still wouldnt install. After that I gave up on AMD cards. Its one of those you got one shot make a good impression and the driver thing made me go meh, then their third party software was mostly useless. Honestly I havent had one bad experience with evga so far knock on wood. Only time I had a horrid experience is when I had dual titan X cards and one of the fan wires broke for the blower fan. Nvidia wouldnt warranty it at all and the ebay seller who I bought the cards brand new from refused to message me back with the invoice for them. I bought them 6 months after they released so yeah I was a bit annoyed!

You can trust EVGA to at least give you thermal pads if they ever screw up your VRM cooling

Sorry.  It's ok really.  I'm a straight person posting in a LGBT thread and while idk if you're gay/bi/trans or straight I guess I wasn't sure how to respond to what I assume was a well meaning compliment.  ?
