For the third time they have limited my account for no reason. This time I found out that i now need to verify my phone number to add money to the account. I thought it was already verified, but I guess not. so I have it send the code: and it does not work. After a few more tires, they locked me out of my account until I can provide a proof of address, SSN, and ID fucking again. Last time this took me 6 months and several calls to their center for them to even look my info over and reconfirm my account, which at the time had a few hundred dollars on it that I could not access until it was resolved.

Fuck paypal.

I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

I'm also locked out of paypal credit, which means I cannot seem to pay my bill.

Hey paypal, need proof of address? HOW ABOUT YOUR OWN FUCKING BILLS YOU SEND ME?

Well here's an update-

I was really sick today, slept like 12 hours not long after posting this and the identification needed, and it seems I've been cleared about 12:30 EST. I don't know why my account was suddenly locked for trying to verify my phone. Oddly today, it let me add funds without verifying my mobile number, but I did anyway. Same problem before with the codes not making it at all to me, but after a few resends (they resend the same code generally) it actually accepted the code this time.

So while I was randomly inconvenienced, unlike the times a couple years in the past I've had this problem, this was resolved very quickly and is a positive mark in the right direction for paypal in my book.

So for now after 3 or so day (e-checks take time) I should have money in my paypal wallet, which using that instead of my card/bank directly should allow me to avoid the problem I'm having with auto-payments for my donation here.

Now if slick will message me back....

I hate PayPal also, but I've never had an issue with limitations as you've described. My verification process was some time ago but it was a seamless issue for me at the time. There is much more to hate about PayPal than just some verification issues, you have a lot more in store if you continue using PayPal.

I have experienced much more from payapl- hint, this is not my first account. They've even stolen a small amount of money from me, and them combined with ebay = satan.

That's really weird.... I've never had a single problem with PayPal and I've had an account since '07... How long have you had your account?

IDK, but I have a line of credit open with them, and I'm really pissed off. This should be falt out illegal, I will fall behind on my payments if they don't resolve this, and last time took months

On your next day off work, call the customer support for accounts and demand to talk to a supervisor. Don't waste any time explaining the situation to a minion, just tell them you want to talk to a manager/supervisor. Lay it all on the line and tell them, don't ask, to fix it so that you don't fall behind on payments.

I know your pain. Recently got close to the 1k cap on my old account, they screwed up the account name when I added the card of a family member. So I couldn't fix the damn thing at all.
Opened a new account, transferred the funds, had the same damned limit pop up and it took weeks to confirm my ID... Included in that time was them ignoring the address on my licence and requesting further proof twice.

Ironically in that time I opened a new bank account with only 2 forms of ID compared to the 5 that paypal wanted. Bad policy. Probably different policy given Australian law... but still. Totally mental.

"The wheel?" "No thanks, I'll walk, its more natural" - thus was the beginning of the doom of the Human race.

Paypal targets people and limits their account whenever they can, they take your money and hold it just like a bank so they make more money.

yep. this is actually the first time I've had this happened with no money in my paypal wallet. I was trying to add to it so the auto payment for my LTT donation would work (my bank hates Canada and I have to call every month, which fucks up LTTs payment system and I have to message luke)

I also have a PayPal account, but I've never use it and have no money nor my back account linked to it because of the many horror stories, like this one, I hear. What country do you live in? I'm asking this because I have a suggestion that might help you.

I can barely tell what's going on, I think I'm getting scammed too. Apparently the person I paid is now in the hospital and his wife contacted me and says she will ship tmmrw. I looked up the guy in the town and he has 3 arrests in 3 years.

...... Never buying online again unless it's amazon.

Whats that got to do with paypal? Paypal and ebay are so good with charge backs that it's incredibly easy to scam sellers, they don't even bother to check a seller's proof they shipped an item ect.

They are like someone who borrows money from you that will pay you back, but not until after they fled to Canada and changed their identity for 6 months to suddenly show up with you money one day so far away you forgot they owed you.,

The part in where I can't tell what's going on directly relates to Paypal.

It's been 4 days since I've paid and nothing has shped. Should I request my money back?

If the sellers are scammers, then yes. I would do that ASAP.

United States.

Alright, is there anyway that you can setup automatic payments from your bank account for your bills. That would solve that problem. You can do that here in Australia to make sure that your bills are always paid on time and that you never miss a payment.

most sites accept paypal exclusively or payments through them No payment to Canada goes through without me calling and they refused to let me set up monthly payments, I have to call each time. I have a local credit union, and they are great to me otherwise so I'm not switching banks any time soon. My solution is to use use a paypal wallet, but this shit happened.

I think I didn't make myself understood all to well. I'm with the National Australia Bank (NAB) and within my online account with them, as long as you have the payment details of the places that you need to pay your bill to, you can set up an automatic payment by yourself and then cancel it at a later date if you need to for any reason. Sorry about that, I should've been much clearer.
