Can i put an animated gif in photoshop?

Hey linus community i am trying to put a .gif animated file into photoshop.

 

how do i put it in and still have it animated?

Pretty sure if you import it to PS, it will convert to a whole lot of picture (all on different layers).

What were you looking to do with it exactly?

It wont be animated, it will be displayed by each frame in the timeline at the bottom.

i just wanted to have a animated gif on the side of my e-poster, but i was told to do it in photoshop
