My guess is, keep in mind that I don't know your parents, they don't want you to get in the habit of spending excess money while you are young. That is a habit that sticks with you for life.

Lol i'm thirtheen and I wish I was as spoiled as you. You seem to not realise the reason behind your parents action. Act more mature and they may accept you, thats how my parents accepted me. Showed them that I  wouldn't do fucked up stuff with the money and not abuse it cuz the only legit reason to use that much at your age is to do content creation if you are in a club at school or something like I do. You may not know but most of the parents would kiss somebody's foot for that amount of money so of course they would not want you to waste it on gaming, something that wont bring you far at your age. My parents put me a cap of 1000$ for gaming but when I started content creation they put it up to 1750$. Seriously be more mature. And btw you wont get your ''answer'' here since its not a ''defending kids from parents'' forum it a ''computer hardware discussion'' forum. You should deal with your parent on your own.

Also, if you point out how you use your PC for something other than gaming, they might allow it, as far as they are concerned it's an overpriced arcade machine.

My dad knows that it's for more than gaming, that's why he let me get the 5820k. I can get the case but really, there isn't much to get on Amazon besides PC parts for me. Maybe like car parts but $50 to Amazon won't get you anymore than cup holders (my dad bought parts for my sister's car on Amazon before he sold it to my grandparents).

Yeah my dad travels every day for work. He travels so much that he got sent a bottle of champagne and Tiffany glasses from Delta. My mom gets really depressed from rejections and spends a lot of time on the computer typing nonstop.

My rig is badass and I love it. Like I have said many times, I just want a new case so that I can comfortably access my I/O without putting my wrist at a 90 degree angle all the time. Yes I am spoiled. In some peoples' eyes, I am a brat.

I don't know that they wouldn't be. Saying that someone shouldn't spend their own money doesn't seem very reasonable. You'd laugh if someone else tried to impose the same rules on you.

 

Also, please don't ever say words that imply that I feel highly about myself. I can't think of anything that makes me more angry. I don't see why I should get a grip of reality. It's one of the very few good things about being me. I could drag a box cutter across my face without anyone wondering why I did it. That's not something that I'd ever give up for the sake of being normal like you.
