windows 7 home premium dosent support 32gb of ram?

im going to buy this beastly machine

and pcpartpicker warned me that win 7 only supports 16gb of ram

Perhaps get windows 7 ultimate instead? pretty sure it supports 32 or 64GB, I don't remember.

 

Also, I'd recommend going with an i7 such as the 4790K instead of the FX-9590, it will greatly outperform it in almost any task you throw at it.

Windows 7 Home Premium will only support 16GB of RAM, The system will see it however no applications nor the OS will be able to use it. Upgrade to Windows 7 Professional/Ultimate which supports up to 128GB of RAM.

Its Microsoft's artificial limit which forces people to buy the Pro or Ultimate versions, which don't have that much over Home Premium in the first place.

He will get a free upgrade to Windows 10 anyway, so choosing Windows 7 or 8.1 pretty much comes down to whichever's cheapest.

they are about the same price, but at least 8.1 will work better than 7 and not have a ram issue
