They all have 4GB, just .5GB of it is much slower. Except in certain games at 1080P, you'll never even get to the last .5GB.

One makes you broke, the other you can get more of and have a midnight snack from the fridge when hungry again. Once you go Nvidia, you go broked, turn into an Elitist, or get the incorrect amount of VRAM.

Yes, of course. None of them are different. Unless you're running terribly optimized games or at 4K though, it doesn't usually matter.

The 980 even tanks in the same spots on the same games.

All have 4gb, only 3.5 of it is fast, the other .5 is slow.

There's nothing wrong with a 970. I don't run into any issues besides one game, with ultra textures, at 4k.

It's all 970s, not just some. It's an issue with the architecture of the chip
