EVGA 970 SSC. (x2)

Same setup here. Stupid fast.

A lot of people are butt hurt over the RAM issue. Honestly I feel there is some reason to be upset because of how it was handled. However when it comes to price/performance and overall package, the 970 is the best card on the market. Few people are going 4k and at 1440p I haven't gotten close to 3.5 gb used even in shadows of mordor. Keep in mind even the 780ti only had 3.

Tell my tale to those who ask. Tell it truly; the ill deeds along with the good, and let me be judged accordingly.

Yes, all of them do.

It's 3.5 of GDDR5, and .5 of GDDR5 that runs at DDR3 system memory speeds.

It's not an outright terrible card, but as someone who purchased it at full price, I feel a bit ripped off by not having known about it when I bought it. If I could, I'd return it and buy a 300 series when they come out.

It runs ESO for me, with EVERYTHING turned up as high as it can go, and only uses about 39% of the GPU. other, more intensive games like bf4, skyrim, SWTOR,, Dying Light, Dragon Age: Inquisition, can easily hit 99% gpu load, but don't necessarily run at 3.5gb Vram usage.

Ketchup is better than mustard.

GUI is better than Command Line Interface.

Dubs are better than subs

If you bought the 970 to play 4K games on your new 4K display, at high settings, then you are going to have a bad time. That is all that it means, and that is something properly highlighted in benchmarks. The 970 is an amazing card for the price, that is also why it drastically cheaper than the 980. Before for ~300-350$ you had to get x60 model or worst (depending on how way back you are going in time).

thanks for the info guys is there a better option for a price of 400 usd

Used gtx 780s are about $250-$270. Those are pretty good options. So are used 780 ti's but those are more.
